Iconic pop star Enrique Iglesias is the latest celeb to appear on bodybymilk.com to encourage Hispanic teens to drink 3 glasses of low fat or fat free milk everyday, eat right and stay active. As an internationally recognized singing sensation whose sultry voice has forged him as a singing power house and lavish tours have proven him to be a bona fide entertainer, Enrique understands the importance of being in tip-top shape in order to keep up with his busy schedule. That’s why he includes milk in his daily diet along with exercise to help him stay strong, healthy and in shape. This message is vital for Hispanics since according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), more than 1/3 of Hispanics in the United States are currently obese. Obesity leads to many health-related problems that Hispanics are already predisposed to such as diabetes, hypertension, and heart disease.1 According to the National Council of La Raza, Latino children under the age of 18 make up 34% of the Latino population and in turn are a significant portion of obese or overweight children in the U.S. Enrique supports the campaign by reminding Hispanic teens to eat right, exercise and drink 3 glasses of low fat or fat free milk a day. The Madrid-born, Miami-raised singer’s latest album, “1 95/08” will be released on March 25th, featuring his greatest Spanish hits and two new songs. All his fans will be able to get FREE Enrique MP3’s as well as have access to photos of Enrique, an exclusive interview with the pop star, and music from other hot artists just by logging on to www.bodybymilk.com. |
